Sr. Automation Test Analyst

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Functional Testing and Code Review:

• Candidate must have experience in code review of backend applications written in Java or PHP, ensuring that source code adheres to security standards, performance benchmarks, and internal coding guidelines.
• Candidate must have experience in testing database-related scenarios, with a preference for MySQL, including writing SQL queries to validate data integrity and performance
• Candidate must have experience in creating comprehensive test scenarios and test cases based on documented business requirements, product architecture, and application flow.
• Candidate must be proficient in executing functional tests and reporting defects using tracking tools like ClickUp and TestRail, ensuring clear communication to engineering teams for timely resolution.
• Candidate must have the ability to document and report testing status to stakeholders, providing metrics on test progress, defect density, and overall software quality.

Test Effort Estimation and Sprint Events Participation:

• Candidate must have the ability to review business requirements and application architecture to provide accurate test effort estimation.
• Practical experience in T-shirt sizing techniques is an added advantage for efficient estimation during planning.
• Candidate should be capable of breaking down complex features into testable units to ensure accurate resource allocation.

Functional Testing and Code Review:

• Candidate must have experience in creating test scenarios and test cases based on the documented requirements using appropriate test techniques to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• The candidate must have experience in executing functional test cases, documenting and reporting on the defect properly using tracking tools, and clearly communicating the defects to the engineering team for timely resolution.
• Active participation in all Scrum/Sprint events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, refinement sessions, and retrospectives, to ensure quality is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
