About the Role  

We are looking for a SeniorSolutions Architect toplay a critical customer-facing role within the commercial organisation, partnering closely with the Sales teams to design, develop, and present tailored infrastructure solutions that meet customer business and technical requirements. Working at the intersection of technology, operations, and sales, the post-holder translates customer needs into commercially viablesolutions across the company's portfolio of data centre, colocation, connectivity, cloud, edge, AI, and managed infrastructure services. 

The successful candidate will engage directly with customers throughout the sales cycle, providing technical expertise, solution design, costing support, and trusted advisory services to help secure new business, retainexisting customers, and drive long-term growth. 

Key Responsibilities  

Customer Solution Design  

• Engage directly with customers to understand business objectives, technical requirements, and operational challenges.
• Design bespoke data centreand infrastructure solutions aligned to customer needs and company capabilities.
• Develop solutions encompassing colocation, power, cooling, connectivity, cloud interconnection, AI infrastructure, edge computing, disaster recovery, and managed services.
• Produce high-quality solution documentation, technical proposals, diagrams, and customer presentations.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, commercially viable, and operationally supportable.

Sales Support & Opportunity Development  

• Partner closely with Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and Sales Leadership throughout the sales process.
• Participate in customer meetings, workshops, technical discovery sessions, and executive presentations.
• Support the development of RFPs, RFIs, tenders, and customer proposals.
• Assist in defining solution pricing assumptions and technical scope.
• Provide technical credibility and expertiseduring contract negotiations and solution reviews.
• Contribute to winning complex and strategic opportunities.

Customer Engagement  

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospective and existing customers.
• Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders including technical, operational, and executive teams.
• Present technical solutions in a clear and commercially focused manner.
• Conduct site tours and technical workshops with customers and partners.
• Support customer due diligence and technical assessment activities.

Technical Governance & Solution Quality  

• Ensure solution designs align with company standards, products, and best practices.
• Maintain consistency and accuracy across customer proposals and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Product Management, and Service Delivery teams to validatesolution feasibility.
• Support solution handover processes following contract award.
• Maintain detailed technical records within CRM and relevant business systems.

Product & Market Insight  

• Provide feedback from customers and prospects to support product development and roadmap planning.
• Identify emerging customer requirements, market trends, and growth opportunities.
• Support the introduction of new products and services through customer engagement and technical enablement.
• Stay current on developmentswithin the data centre, cloud, connectivity, AI, and digital infrastructure markets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration  

• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Delivery teams.
• Support service implementation planning and customer transition activities.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and technical training initiatives.
• Assist with the development of standardisedsolution templates and best practices.

What We’reLooking For  

• Experience in a Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Strong understanding of data centreand digital infrastructure environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise sales teams and customer engagements.
• Experience creating technical proposals, designs, and solution documentation.
• Experience within the colocation, telecommunications, connectivity, cloud, hosting, or managed services sectors (desirable).
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical, commercially viablebusiness solutions.
• Understanding ofpower, cooling, racks, cages, connectivity, cloud interconnection, and network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of AI infrastructure, GPU deployments, high-density environments, and edge computing solutions.
• Familiarity with CRM and proposal management tools.
• Industry certifications in cloud, networking, infrastructure, or architecture disciplines.
• Customer-focused and consultative, with strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player with sound project coordination skills.
• Innovative and committed to continuous learning in a fast-moving technical market.
