Director, Supply Chain & Operations

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Director, Supply Chain & Operations to lead and scale Noctrix Health’s supply chain and operations function. This role will have direct ownership of supply planning, supplier and contract manufacturer relationships, inventory strategy, logistics, distribution, and operational readiness to support the company’s continued growth.

The ideal candidate is a strategic operator who is equally comfortable developing long-term supply chain plans and working directly with suppliers, partners, and internal teams to solve immediate operational challenges. This individual will lead and develop the supply chain and operations team while remaining actively involved in planning, supplier management, negotiations, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Product.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Pleasanton, CA, with a minimum of three days onsite per week Travel is expected to be approximately 25%-30%, including international supplier and partner visits as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end supply chain and operations execution for a Class II medical device business, ensuring capacity, quality, service, cost, and supply continuity support the company’s growth objectives
• Lead and continuously improve supply planning, production planning, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, fulfillment, and reverse-logistics operations
• Serve as the primary operational leader for key suppliers, contract manufacturers, logistics providers, and other external partners
• Establish operating plans, supplier scorecards, key performance indicators, business-review processes, and executive-level relationships with critical partners
• Translate commercial forecasts and growth plans into actionable supply, inventory, capacity, and production plans
• Identify supply, capacity, inventory, and operational constraints early and drive cross-functional actions to protect product availability and customer service
• Lead, coach, and develop the supply chain and operations team while remaining hands-on in planning, supplier management, issue resolution, negotiations, and day-to-day execution
• Build and continuously improve a scalable logistics and distribution model encompassing inbound freight, warehousing, order fulfillment, inventory controls, reverse logistics, and partner performance
• Lead supplier and contract manufacturer negotiations related to pricing, capacity, lead times, service levels, quality expectations, business continuity, and supply agreements
• Develop and maintain effective demand-to-supply planning processes that connect commercial forecasts with production, inventory, capacity, and supplier commitments
• Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, Product, Commercial, Finance, and Regulatory teams to support New Product Introduction, design transfer, product changes, sustaining activities, and reliable commercialization
• Support NPI and product changes from development through commercial production by ensuring supply chain readiness, material availability, supplier alignment, and operational execution
• Establish and manage operational KPIs across suppliers and internal operations, including service levels, supplier quality, cost, inventory, forecast performance, lead times, capacity, and risk
• Develop and manage supply chain budgets, forecasts, inventory strategies, contract manufacturer commitments, and operational resourcing plans
• Proactively identify supplier, manufacturing, logistics, and continuity risks and implement appropriate mitigation and business-continuity plans
• Evaluate supplier and partner performance, address performance gaps, and establish corrective actions and escalation processes when needed
• Improve operational systems, processes, tools, and reporting to increase visibility, accountability, scalability, and decision-making
• Partner with Finance and Commercial leadership to balance product availability, inventory investment, cost management, and working-capital objectives
• Provide supply chain and operations updates, recommendations, and risk assessments to executive leadership
• Maintain a high level of ownership and independence while operating effectively within a dynamic, growth-stage medical device environment

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, logistics, or related operational leadership roles
• 5+ years of direct people-management experience, with a demonstrated track record of building, developing, and scaling high-performing teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related technical discipline
• Demonstrated success managing global or international supply chain partners, including contract manufacturers and critical suppliers
• Hands-on operating experience within a high-growth environment where supply chain processes, planning capabilities, and operational infrastructure must scale with the business
• Experience establishing or materially improving logistics, distribution, warehousing, fulfillment, and inventory-management networks
• Strong supplier-management and negotiation experience, including supply agreements, pricing, capacity planning, lead times, performance management, escalation, and risk mitigation
• Experience developing demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and production plans to support commercial growth
• Experience supporting NPI, design transfer, product changes, and sustaining activities from development through commercial production
• Strong cross-functional experience partnering with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Product, Commercial, and Finance teams
• Working knowledge of FDA requirements and ISO 13485 expectations within a medical device or similarly regulated product environment
• Experience establishing and managing supply chain and operations KPIs, supplier scorecards, business reviews, and performance dashboards
• Experience developing budgets, forecasts, inventory strategies, operational plans, and contract manufacturer commitments
• Demonstrated ability to identify supply chain risks and implement effective mitigation and business-continuity strategies
• Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels, moving comfortably between executive planning, team leadership, supplier engagement, and detailed problem-solving
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and executive-presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to use data, metrics, and KPIs to drive decisions, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Ability to travel approximately 25%-30%, including internationally, as business needs require

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical device industry experience, particularly with Class II products
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related discipline
• Experience supporting the commercialization and scaling of prescription medical devices or other regulated healthcare products
• Experience managing geographically distributed suppliers, contract manufacturers, logistics providers, and distribution partners
• Experience building or scaling supply chain and operations functions within a startup, growth-stage, or rapidly evolving organization
• Experience improving Sales and Operations Planning, demand planning, supply planning, or similar cross-functional planning processes
• Experience developing global supplier strategies, dual-sourcing plans, and business-continuity programs
• Experience managing inventory optimization, cost-reduction, working-capital, and operational-efficiency initiatives
• Experience implementing or improving ERP, planning, inventory-management, or supply chain reporting systems

Compensation

• Base pay: $175,000-$200,000 per year
• Annual bonus eligibility
