EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently a candidate for bachelor’s or master's degree in network technology, Computer/Software/Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with an accredited school in Canada.
You Will:
- Acquire a deep understanding of IP/MPLS networks
- Obtain hands-on experience on the industry-leading 7750 Service Routers and 7250/7220 IXR Data Center Routers
- Assist team members with the physical deployment and cabling of network topologies
- Develop enhanced techniques in the troubleshooting and reproduction of real-world issues
- Experience teamwork in a fast-paced environment and get exposure to Customer Issue Management
You must have:
An interest in working with the industry-leading 7x50 series of carrier-grade service routers, in learning how IP/MPLS networks are built, and in how the Internet works.
Critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Attention to details and excellent communication skills to provide written and verbal explanations to customers and internal Nokia teams.
Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize between tasks.
It would be nice if you also had:
Possess a certification in the Nokia Service Routing Certification (SRC) Program
Knowledge of IP/MPLS and routing protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, etc.
Experience in IP network troubleshooting techniques
Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment, including automation via Bash/Shell scripting and Python programming
