Nokia is a Finnish telecommunications equipment company founded in 1865 as a paper mill, which became the world's largest mobile phone maker in the 1990s before selling that business to Microsoft in 2014. It now supplies network infrastructure to operators and enterprises, covering radio access equipment for mobile networks, optical and IP routing for transport networks, fixed broadband access, and a technologies division that licenses its cellular patent portfolio. Headquartered in Espoo and listed in Helsinki and New York, it runs Nokia Bell Labs as its research arm and has been expanding into data centre networking as operator spending has slowed.

As a Senior Electrical PCB Layout Designer at Nokia, you will play a critical role in transforming schematic designs and mechanical constraints into high-quality, manufacturable printed circuit boards. Collaborating closely with hardware design engineers, you'll utilize design for manufacturing (DFM) guidelines from our PCB suppliers to ensure functionality and reliability. Your contributions will be vital in advancing unique designs that push the boundaries of technology, paving the way for next-generation innovations. Join us to shape the future of connectivity and technology through iterative development and cutting-edge design solutions.

  • BSc Electrical Engineering Degree or relevant education, training, and experience
  • Proven experience in PCB layout, preferably in high-speed and high-density applications
  • Experience with Cadence CIS and Cadence Allegro
  • Familiarity with PCB fabrication processes, DFM best practices, and IPC standards
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management principles

Nice-To-Have:

  • Experience with HDI and MSAP
  • Understanding of analog and digital electronics
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor less experienced designers
