Test & Integration Junior Engineer

As R&D Microwave Test & Integration Junior Engineer, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers focusing on test and validation of next-generation microwave equipment., to ensure they meet the needed quality standard. You will learn how modern telecom systems are designed, integrated, tested, and automated while developing expertise in networking, radio technologies, Python programming, and AI-driven testing methodologies.

This job combines requirements-driven test design, manual tests, automation development, and analysis of test outcomes in a multidisciplinary environment. You will work with Agile methodologies (scrum) customized to be more efficient toward product delivery.

• Review and analyse system/subsystem requirements to define the proper test strategy (functional, integration, regression, and reliability where applicable).
• Derive, specify, and maintain structured test cases with clear traceability to requirements.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for automated test execution, data collection, and reporting within the existing automation framework.
• Integrate AI-assisted methods to accelerate test generation and improve test case completeness, consistency, and reuse.
• Execute test campaigns, analyse logs/results, and perform troubleshooting/root-cause analysis on failures.
• Work closely inside R&D with Test engineers, SW/FW developers, and system architects to evaluate requirements, have an overview on SW development and be able continuously improve verification.

You have:

• Hands-on experience in test engineering, integration, or validation of electronic/telecom systems.
• Programming skill in Python for test automation (script design, modularity, debugging, and framework integration).
• Ability to make requirements analysis and test design methodologies.
• Experience with test result interpretation, defect isolation, and structured troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in cross-functional development cycles involving hardware, firmware, software and architects’ engineers.
• Experience in usage of AI tools for engineering productivity or test generation.
• Experience in Linux operating system.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and ability to work with API-based integrations and testing (HTTP methods, status codes, authentication, JSON payloads, and API testing tools such as Postman or curl).
• Good communication skills in English.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Knowledge of microwave/radio systems, RF concepts.
• Knowledge of test platform automation tool (Robot framework).
• Familiarity with network management and device interfaces, including NETCONF and SNMP (v2c/v3), with basic understanding of YANG models (IETF preferred), MIBs, OIDs, and monitoring/alarm use cases.

Italy Salary range

Annual Base Salary Range: 29,302.33-54,418.60

Target Incentive: 5 - 7.50%
