About the role
Our firm is seeking an active and motivated Junior Accountant with practical knowledge of eTax and Ethiopian tax requirements. The ability to prepare and submit tax declarations through eTax is the key skill for this role. Recent graduates with relevant hands-on eTax experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit tax declarations through eTax, including VAT, withholding tax, and payroll income tax, under supervision.
Support the preparation of pension reports and other tax-related documents.
Organize and verify invoices, receipts, and supporting documents.
Record daily transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly account closing.
Support the preparation of financial statements and other reports.
Follow up with clients for missing documents and maintain organized files.
Meet deadlines and respond to feedback from reviewers.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, or a closely related field.
2 year of relevant experience.
Practical experience using eTax to prepare or submit tax declarations is highly important.
Good understanding of Ethiopian tax requirements and accounting principles.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and accountability.
