Are you an experienced software engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions and driving technical excellence within a collaborative agile team? Join our technology group as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will lead the design, execution, and continuous optimization of critical public-facing and internal applications for a leading provider of business marketing solutions in the legal industry - helping consumers find attorneys and access legal information while enabling law firms to grow through strategic digital marketing. The team leverages industry-leading tools and technologies, including AI and elastic computing, to drive results.

How your day-to-day work will look like:

Architect, design, and deliver complex application features, setting high technical and software standards across the team, while guiding and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.

Shape the agile delivery lifecycle from architecture refinement and epic definition through production releases, owning non-functional requirements to ensure system resilience, security, and performance at scale.

Evaluate emerging industry trends, AI tools, and elastic cloud technologies to advocate for and implement innovative solutions.

Embed secure development practices and vulnerability mitigation protocols into the continuous delivery pipeline.

Partner closely with product management, cross-functional engineering teams, and external vendor partners to align technical strategies with business priorities, and provide strategic tier-3 support for production systems.

This would make you the ideal candidate:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).

Minimum 6+ years in a technical software development role with demonstrated progression into senior-level technical leadership.

4+ years of deep experience architecting and developing enterprise Java applications using Spring Framework, with comprehensive automated testing practices.

Extensive experience designing, building, securing, and maintaining scalable RESTful microservices and API ecosystems.

Advanced expertise with cloud services (AWS or Azure), including hands-on experience with containerized applications (Kubernetes, ECS/Fargate), serverless architecture (Lambda), messaging (SQS, SNS), and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation or Terraform).

Proven track record in database design, complex SQL optimization, and efficient ORM/data access management for high-throughput applications.

Strong expertise in system design patterns, distributed systems architecture, microservices, and clean code principles.

Deep knowledge of secure development practices, security testing methodologies, and vulnerability resolution using tools like Snyk or Qualys.

Strong inclination toward CI/CD automation, DevOps principles, performance tuning, and proactive system monitoring.

Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to mentor team members and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
