About Northbeam

Northbeam is building the world's most advanced marketing intelligence platform, providing top eCommerce brands a unified view of their business data through powerful attribution modeling and customizable dashboards. At Northbeam, you'll join a team of driven, collaborative, and talented individuals who value personal growth and excellence. We'd love for you to be part of our journey.

We're a remote-friendly company with physical offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

About Northbeam

Northbeam builds marketing intelligence software for growth-minded ecommerce brands. Our attribution modeling and customizable dashboards bring marketing performance, ad spend, customer journey, and business data into one unified view. As we scale, we're investing in stronger technical stewardship and more repeatable ways to keep existing customers configured for success. This role is part of that investment.

About the role

You'll be the technical arm supporting Northbeam's existing business and the day-to-day technical counterpart to Customer Performance. Where Customer Performance owns the customer relationship and performance strategy, you'll own the technical health underneath it: configuration, data quality, tracking, integrations, and the pipelines that keep customer data flowing. You'll proactively identify risk, diagnose issues, solve what you can directly, and coordinate escalations through Support and Solutions Engineering. It's a fit for someone technical, investigative, customer-aware, and comfortable owning problems through resolution.

What you'll be doing

  • Partner in lockstep with Customer Performance across a portfolio of existing customers, bringing technical context to account strategy, risk, and customer conversations.
  • Own the ongoing technical health of customer accounts, including configuration, tracking, integrations, data ingestion, and the pipelines that power reporting.
  • Proactively identify data quality issues, configuration drift, pipeline failures, and other technical risks before they become larger customer problems.
  • Diagnose customer-specific issues by tracing data flows, validating assumptions, reviewing technical evidence, and isolating root causes.
  • Resolve issues directly when they fall within your scope; when they don't, escalate through Support or Solutions Engineering with clear context, evidence, impact, and recommended next steps.
  • Stay accountable through resolution, keeping Customer Performance informed and translating technical findings into clear customer-facing guidance.
  • Create reusable health checks, documentation, and runbooks, and surface recurring patterns that should be standardized, productized, or addressed through process improvements.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a technical, post-sale customer-facing role (Technical Account Manager, Technical Customer Success Manager, Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Support Engineer, or similar).
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to move from a customer symptom to a clear technical diagnosis and path forward.
  • Technical fluency across data flows, integrations, APIs, web tracking, ecommerce infrastructure, and the pipelines that move and transform customer data.
  • Comfort using logs, queries, APIs, dashboards, and lightweight scripts to investigate issues, validate data, and test assumptions.
  • Ability to manage technical health across a portfolio of customers, prioritize by severity and business impact, and stay organized through multiple active investigations.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, especially the ability to explain technical findings, tradeoffs, risks, and next steps to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration instincts and comfort working in lockstep with Customer Performance while coordinating across Support, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering.

What success looks like

Success means existing Northbeam customers have a reliable technical foundation, and Customer Performance has a trusted partner for everything happening under the hood:

  • Customer configurations, data, tracking, integrations, and pipelines stay healthy, and issues are identified earlier.
  • Technical problems are diagnosed faster, resolved at the right level, and escalated with enough context to avoid unnecessary back-and-forth.
  • Customer Performance has a clear view of technical health, risk, and recommended next steps across its accounts.
  • Recurring issues become reusable checks, playbooks, and stronger signals to Support, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering - reducing repeat problems and improving customer confidence.

Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location.

In addition to your base salary, we offer an equity package, comprehensive healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), and a 401(k) plan. Our team enjoys a flexible PTO policy, 12 company-paid holidays, and 12 weeks of paid parental leave. We also provide a $500 work-from-home stipend to support your remote setup.

Interview Process

The interview process varies by role but typically begins with a 30-minute interview with a Northbeam recruiter, followed by a video interview with the hiring manager. Next, candidates complete a role-specific video interview followed by video or onsite interviews with several team members. The final step is a video interview with our CEO/Co-founder. The entire interview process is usually 5-7 interviews total and requires around 5-8 hours of your time.

We accept applications on an ongoing basis.
