Northrop Grumman's Insights and Intelligence organization is seeking

a people and product leader to lead Business Management Insights and Intelligence within Northrop Grumman’s Chief Information and Digital Office.

This leader will build and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary team that delivers trusted AI, analytics, and decision support products for enterprise and program business management stakeholders. This position will report to the Director of Business Insights and Intelligence.

Primary location of this role is Falls Church, VA, but we may also consider a hybrid or teleworker arrangement for the role.

At Northrop Grumman, Business Management (BM) is a core domain within our Insights & Intelligence (i2) organization. i2 is a team of strategic analysts, scientists, engineers, and technologists who use science, research and data to identify strategic insights and create innovative artificial intelligence (AI) and analytic solutions for our business.

In this position, you will oversee the development and deployment of enterprise AI and analytics products and deliver high-impact analyses that inform the management of our enterprise and program execution. Through these efforts, you will help BM leaders and business partners make informed decisions across multiple areas of the business including, but not limited to cost management, facility optimization, pricing and estimating and financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Serving on the Business i2 leadership team where you will drive AI, analytics and product strategy.

  • Leading a team of analytics engineers, developers, analysts and data scientists focused on the business management domain.

  • Develop and deliver on a roadmap of AI and analytics solutions that fundamentally shift and improve Northrop Grumman’s ability to effectively manage business operations.

  • Work with senior business stakeholders to ensure alignment of your roadmap with business priorities and to realize business impacts from delivery of capability

  • Developing and maintaining innovative products that leverage data, AI and advanced analytics.

  • Identifying and articulating team priorities based on business needs.

  • Communicating results to an executive audience to effectively tell the data story.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience - OR - a Master’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience - OR - a PhD and 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated experience building high performing teams and developing technical talent.

  • Understanding of the Business Management domain areas and metrics (such as financial performance, pricing and estimating, and forecasting metrics).

  • Demonstrated experience using analytics to inform decision making.

  • Experience in executive data storytelling, building compelling and concise presentations to communicate insights.

  • Ability to extract and manipulate data from databases (e.g., SQL).

  • Ability to use programming languages (e.g., R, Python) to conduct statistical analyses.

  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and the ability to use them to develop analysis products and capabilities.

  • Proficient in data visualization using Tableau or similar visualization tool(s).

  • Experience collaborating on projects with multiple teams.

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated people leadership skills in an analytics capacity.

  • Experience using Databricks to build and operationalize analytical capabilities, from data ingestion and transformation through deployment of decision-support data products.

  • Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics).

  • Solid statistical understanding and exposure to more advanced analytics, such as machine learning.

  • Experience leading web application development projects.

  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry.

  • Deep curiosity and a willingness to pull the thread on difficult questions.

CIDO

Primary Level Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $181,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
