Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for Program Manager 3 (PM) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the F-35 Program Management organization. This leadership role is an onsite opportunity which may be located in El Segundo, CA.
The PM will be responsible for managing a subset of programs within the F-35 Fleet Readiness & Sustainment Operating Unit (FR&S OU) through all phases of program life cycle; proposal development, negotiation, startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout).
Primary responsibilities are included but not limited to:
Responsibility for profit and loss (P&L).
Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Lead cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives and align execution across engineering, plans and schedules, production, quality, and supply chain.
Manage supplier performance to meet program and customer objectives.
Measure and report program performance, including risks, opportunities, and compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
Serves as the primary interface with the customer, managing expectations, priorities, and issue resolution while balancing contractual requirements with operational execution constraints.
Proactively manage risk and opportunity.
Help develop and mentor junior program managers across the business unit.
The specific program scope for the PM will be Supply Support - managing internal and external suppliers in providing spares and repairs for the F-35 scope managed by NGAS to ensure fleet readiness.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below:
Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
Profit & loss responsibility with demonstrated ability to achieve financial performance targets and use of Earned Value Management.
Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret Clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience on the F-35 program.
Experience supporting DoD sustainment programs or contracts.
Experience interfacing with external customers.
Experience supporting MRO&U operations for aircraft in flightline, field-level, or depot maintenance / mod environments.
Experience with aircraft technical documentation generation, field engineering action requests, and engineering support for fielded aircraft.
Experience managing domestic and international suppliers / subcontracts.
Experience with executing spares and repairs contracts.
Prior military experience, particularly F-35 experience in maintenance, logistics, depot management, and/or sustainment.
