Are you passionate about shaping complex tax strategies that drive business growth and innovation? As Senior Manager Tax Planning, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Novartis' Swiss Tax Planning agenda, acting as a trusted advisor on tax planning, financing, structuring, transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Working closely with Finance, Treasury, Corporate Legal, Global Tax, and business leaders, you will help influence high-impact strategic decisions while ensuring a sustainable and efficient tax position. Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Support Swiss tax planning, structuring and reorganization initiatives to support business growth and transformation.

• Advise on cross-border transactions, intellectual property structures and value chain developments.

• Partner with Treasury and Legal on financing structures, bond issuances and funding arrangements.

• Support tax due diligence, risk assessments and structuring activities for mergers and acquisitions.

• Prepare, negotiate and manage tax rulings with Swiss Tax Authorities.

• Monitor tax risks, support audits and ensure compliance with Swiss tax legislation and policies.

• Build trusted relationships across Finance, Treasury, Legal, Global Tax and external advisors.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Law or a related discipline.

• Significant experience in Swiss corporate tax planning, structuring and financing matters.

• Strong knowledge of Swiss tax legislation and international tax principles.

• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and business restructuring projects.

• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across multiple functions.

• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic business-focused approach.

Desirable Requirements

• Professional Swiss tax qualification or equivalent advanced tax certification.

• Experience within a multinational organization supporting complex cross-border transactions and financing structures.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role:115,500 - 214,500 CHF Annual

The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
