Associate Engineer l - Electrical

Novate Solutions, Inc. a process control engineering firm providing engineering and managed services to a variety of industrial clients with offices in Livermore and West Sacramento, CA is looking for an Associate Engineer l - Electrical, for our location in West Sacramento, CA. This is an entry-level role and works under immediate supervision. This individual will assist with designing, creating, maintaining and updating control diagrams, electrical ladder diagrams, panel elevation views, process and instrumentation diagrams, network diagrams and electrical one-line diagrams. The ideal individual, will be a constant professional, even while under time constraints and pressure. This role also, plays a key part in supporting other team members in an effort to achieve overall company goals and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

· Performs routine or entry-level engineering tasks.

· Contributes to the development of engineering plans and designs.

· Investigates and analyzes new materials, equipment, and engineering practices.

· Prepares engineering calculations, estimates, statistics, and minor designs.

· Assist with sourcing parts for BOM.

· Analyzes quotes and bids to assist senior engineer.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

· 0-1 year of experience as an Electrical Engineer.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Ability to work with diverse personalities.

· The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

· Excellent organization and time management skills.

· Ability to accurately type 35+ WPM.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software such as AutoCAD Electrical experience.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to meet deadlines.

· Ability to travel when necessary.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent combination of education and industry experience. 0-1 year of engineering experience from either an internship or job-related experience.

License/Certifications:

US Citizen. Valid CA driver’s license.

Physical Demands:

The ability to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent standing, sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and crawling into confined spaces.

Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel locally or out of the area when necessary. Travel about 25% of the time.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Ability to pass a DOD security level background check.
