The Senior Bridge Engineer (BrSE) is a seasoned bilingual IT professional, responsible for leading and coordinating product and outsourcing projects for Japanese clients across industries such as logistics, healthcare, and e-commerce.
The primary responsibility of the Senior BrSE is to act as a communication bridge between Japanese clients and the development team in Vietnam, ensuring smooth project execution from initial requirement analysis to final delivery and client handover. .
Key responsibilities:
- Participate in product and outsourcing projects for Japanese clients in diverse fields including logistics, healthcare, and e-commerce.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project execution.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop project scopes and objectives with stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Develop detailed project plans to track progress.
- Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs using verification techniques.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Manage relationships with clients and all stakeholders.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Performs any other related task as required.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- Strong understanding of software development processes and project management methodologies.
- Excellent Japanese communication skills (JLPT N2 or higher).
- Good English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and expectations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High cultural sensitivity and adaptability to Japanese business practices.
- Proactive, self-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, and project collaboration platforms.
- Experience in IT outsourcing or product development projects with Japanese clients is a plus.
Academic qualifications and certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related fields.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are preferred.
- Japanese language certifications (e.g., JLPT N2 or above) are highly desirable.
Required experience:
- Solid experience in IT project coordination or software development.
- Experience working with Japanese clients or in Japanese business environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, timeline, and client communications.
- Experience in requirement analysis and translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
