WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Deliver parts, materials and supplies to and from Company facilities to local destinations using a company vehicle.
- Load & unload the company vehicle and verify that the load matches accompanying paperwork (checking quantity, price, material type etc.).
- Drive in a safe manner, observing all traffic regulations & speed limits. Maintain a valid commercial operator license, and ensure that appropriate vehicle documentation (insurance certificate, registration, safety inspection sticker, registration plates etc.) are current and carried on each trip.
- Assist in pulling orders in warehouse for distribution and work to maintain general warehouse organizational and cleanliness standards (5S).
- Performs all work in accordance with acceptable quality standards.
- Performs all work in a safe manner, to include proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Communicate barriers to Lead or Supervisor.
YOU HAVE:
- A valid state driver's license, and current DOT Health Card.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Experience driving company vehicles, and working in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Computer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards (preferred)
- Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands: able to move up to and including 50 lbs. Standing, sitting, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching reclining and climbing are all required motions of the job.
- Ability to prioritize multiple priorities and proven attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with direction as well as with minimum supervision.

The Logistics Driver/Warehouse Employee's main role is to move specified inventory accurately from nVent to our local vendors and customers. When not on the road, this role is responsible for general warehouse work, including maintaining safety and organizational standards. This role significantly contributes to the team’s success by working safely, accurately and at the defined productivity standard.
