nVent is an electrical connection and protection company spun out of Pentair in 2018 that makes enclosures, thermal management, cable management and connection products for industrial, commercial and data centre customers. Its most consequential business has become thermal management for data centres: liquid cooling for high-density computing racks, where artificial intelligence accelerators generate more heat per rack than air can remove. Headquartered in London for tax and legal purposes with operations centred in Minnesota, it is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has been reshaping its portfolio around electrification and data centre demand.

We’re looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success - and their own. Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.

Safety First. Always.

At nVent, safety is more than a priority. It is the foundation of everything we do.

We believe that every employee deserves a safe, healthy, and supportive work environment. Our commitment is simple: everyone who comes to work should return home safely and healthy at the end of the day. Safety is at the heart of our culture, our decisions, and our continuous improvement efforts.

Are you passionate about driving safety excellence, creating a strong EHS culture, and making a real impact on people's lives? Do you want to be part of a global organization where your expertise truly matters? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

As our EHS Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening our Environmental, Health & Safety culture. You will work closely with employees, supervisors, and leadership teams to ensure safety remains a core value throughout the organization.

This is an opportunity to influence change, lead improvement initiatives, and help create a workplace where safety and wellbeing come first.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a proactive safety culture and lead continuous safety improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the implementation and certification process of ISO 45001.
  • Coach and support employees and leaders on Environmental, Health & Safety matters.
  • Manage the incident reporting process and lead investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
  • Provide clear direction and support to achieve site EHS objectives.
  • Monitor and report progress toward safety and environmental performance goals.
  • Support Team Leaders and Shift Leaders in addressing EHS challenges and opportunities.
  • Promote employee engagement and ownership of safety across all levels of the organization.
  • Participate in and facilitate Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement events.
  • Identify risks, implement preventive measures, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

WHAT YOU BRING:

You are a proactive and hands-on EHS professional who enjoys working with people and driving positive change. You combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and know how to engage others in creating a safer workplace.

Ideally, you bring:

  • A completed education in Safety, Environmental Management, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • Experience as an EHS Specialist or in a similar role.
  • MVK, HVK, or equivalent safety certifications are highly preferred.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English.

Don't meet every requirement? We'd still love to hear from you.

At nVent, we value potential, motivation, and the willingness to learn just as much as experience. If you're passionate about safety and believe you can make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply. We are happy to have a conversation and explore how your skills, ambitions, and career aspirations could fit within our team.

WHAT WE OFFER:

At nVent, you'll join a company where safety, innovation, and people come first. In return for your expertise and commitment, we offer:

  • A varied and independent role within a stable, financially strong, and international organization.
  • 27 vacation days and 13 ADV (additional leave) days.
  • A competitive salary, including 8% holiday allowance and a 13th-month bonus.
  • Modern manufacturing facilities and technical installations, with plenty of opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration with experienced colleagues and external EHS specialists.
  • Ongoing training, education, and professional development opportunities to support your career growth.
  • A workplace where safety, quality, and craftsmanship are at the heart of everything we do.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health, safety, and wellbeing of your colleagues every day.

Ready to Make a Difference?

At nVent, you won't just be implementing safety policies. You'll be helping to build a culture where safety is a shared responsibility, where continuous improvement is embraced, and where people genuinely look out for one another.

If you're ready to help create a workplace where safety, health, and environmental excellence are at the center of everything we do, we invite you to join our team.

Join nVent and help us ensure that every colleague goes home safely, every day.
