As our EHS Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening our Environmental, Health & Safety culture. You will work closely with employees, supervisors, and leadership teams to ensure safety remains a core value throughout the organization.
This is an opportunity to influence change, lead improvement initiatives, and help create a workplace where safety and wellbeing come first.
Your Key Responsibilities

- Lead the implementation and certification process of ISO 45001.
- Coach and support employees and leaders on Environmental, Health & Safety matters.
- Manage the incident reporting process and lead investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
- Provide clear direction and support to achieve site EHS objectives.
- Monitor and report progress toward safety and environmental performance goals.
- Support Team Leaders and Shift Leaders in addressing EHS challenges and opportunities.
- Promote employee engagement and ownership of safety across all levels of the organization.
- Participate in and facilitate Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement events.
- Identify risks, implement preventive measures, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
WHAT YOU BRING:
You are a proactive and hands-on EHS professional who enjoys working with people and driving positive change. You combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and know how to engage others in creating a safer workplace.
Ideally, you bring:
- A completed education in Safety, Environmental Management, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- Experience as an EHS Specialist or in a similar role.
- MVK, HVK, or equivalent safety certifications are highly preferred.
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
- A proactive, solution-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
- Fluency in both Dutch and English.
Don't meet every requirement? We'd still love to hear from you.
At nVent, we value potential, motivation, and the willingness to learn just as much as experience. If you're passionate about safety and believe you can make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply. We are happy to have a conversation and explore how your skills, ambitions, and career aspirations could fit within our team.
WHAT WE OFFER:
At nVent, you'll join a company where safety, innovation, and people come first. In return for your expertise and commitment, we offer:
- A varied and independent role within a stable, financially strong, and international organization.
- 27 vacation days and 13 ADV (additional leave) days.
