nVent is an electrical connection and protection company spun out of Pentair in 2018 that makes enclosures, thermal management, cable management and connection products for industrial, commercial and data centre customers. Its most consequential business has become thermal management for data centres: liquid cooling for high-density computing racks, where artificial intelligence accelerators generate more heat per rack than air can remove. Headquartered in London for tax and legal purposes with operations centred in Minnesota, it is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has been reshaping its portfolio around electrification and data centre demand.

We’re looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success - and their own. Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.

  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, specifications, and tolerances to determine inspection requirements.
  • Verify critical dimensions, hole locations, circumference, bend locations and angles, part orientation, fit, and other specified characteristics against blueprint requirements.
  • Inspect products for workmanship issues such as weld quality, paint quality, and other nonconforming conditions.
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming items to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with the disposition and control of nonconforming product to prevent unintended use or shipment.
  • Support investigation of quality issues and participate in root-cause and corrective action activities.
  • Work directly with production personnel to address quality concerns and clarify blueprint or specification requirements.

YOU HAVE:

  • Strong ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, dimensions, and tolerances. GD&T knowledge is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, product specifications, and drawings, and draw conclusions. Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer systems and software including MS Office products.
  • Able to spend majority of every shift standing and walking in a non-air-conditioned manufacturing environment, and to occasionally lift/position items weighing up to 40 lbs.
