NXP Semiconductors is a Dutch chipmaker established in 2006 when Philips spun out its semiconductor division, and it concentrates on embedded processing rather than general purpose computing. Its largest market is automotive, where it supplies radar sensors, vehicle networking, battery management and the secure processors behind keyless entry and digital car keys, alongside industrial and internet of things microcontrollers, mobile secure elements and communications infrastructure silicon. Headquartered in Eindhoven and listed on Nasdaq, it is one of the leading suppliers of near field communication and automotive processing chips in the world.

As Global Product Marketing Manager MCUs in the Automotive Microcontroller team, you will play a key role in shaping and driving NXP's Automotive Microcontroller strategy for Electrification applications, including X-in-1, Traction Inverters, Battery Management Systems (BMS), On-Board Chargers (OBC), and DC/DC Converters.

Working at the intersection of customers, application requirements, and product development, you will develop a deep understanding of electrification system architectures and future market trends.

You will engage with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to identify emerging opportunities, build and manage a strategic opportunity pipeline, and translate market requirements into differentiated microcontroller and software solutions. Success in this role requires strong technical understanding, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams across product management, engineering, software, applications, sales, and marketing functions to deliver solutions that accelerate NXP's growth in automotive electrification.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the promotion and positioning of NXP Automotive Microcontroller solutions within leading automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

  • Develop deep expertise in electrification applications, including traction inverter, battery management, on-board charger, and DC/DC converter architectures, and identify future market requirements.

  • Engage directly with customers to understand evolving application challenges, technology trends, and system-level requirements.

  • Generate, qualify, and drive a strategic opportunity pipeline to support future design wins and long-term revenue growth.

  • Translate market and customer insights into Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) and influence the definition of future microcontroller, software, and system solutions.

  • Drive alignment across product management, R&D, software, and applications teams to ensure timely execution of strategic initiatives and customer requirements.

  • Communicate the value and differentiation of NXP hardware and software solutions, including system-level interoperability and ecosystem benefits.

  • Support business case development, market analysis, and prioritization of investments for future product roadmaps.

  • Monitor competitive solutions, market dynamics, and emerging technologies, providing actionable recommendations to strengthen NXP's market position.

  • Contribute to achieving global design win targets and business growth objectives across automotive electrification segments.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Advanced degree preferred.

  • At least 10 years of experience in the semiconductor, automotive electronics, or embedded systems industry.

  • Experience working with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or semiconductor suppliers serving the automotive market.

  • Strong understanding of embedded systems comprising both hardware and software components.

  • Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

  • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, product management, applications, sales, and marketing teams.

  • Experience developing business cases, market analysis, product requirements, or technology strategies.

  • Strong project leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer engagement capabilities.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritise activities, and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.

  • Interest in global travel once or twice a month (USA, Europe and Asia).

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong understanding of automotive electrification applications, including motor control, battery management, and power conversion systems.

  • Experience in semiconductor product management, technical marketing, systems engineering, applications engineering, or a related customer-facing role.

  • Demonstrated success identifying market opportunities and translating customer requirements into successful products.

  • Proven experience influencing product roadmaps and driving decisions across global cross-functional teams.

  • Experience building and managing opportunity funnels and supporting strategic design win campaigns.

  • Understanding of automotive software architectures, AUTOSAR, functional safety, cybersecurity, or related software frameworks.

  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies and software-centric product development.

  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer requirements, business objectives, and technical constraints.

  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels, from engineering teams through to executive leadership and customer decision makers.

  • Passion for innovation and a proven track record of driving growth in emerging automotive technologies.
