Internship Web Support & Development Intern

About Orangesoft
With over 18 years of experience and more than 500 successful projects, Orangesoft delivers web solutions to clients across industries, from government agencies and GLCs to retail and education brands. Our support team keeps these websites fast, secure and up to date every day, and we're looking for an intern to grow with us.

About the role
As a Web Support & Development Intern, you'll help maintain and update the client websites we manage. Most of your time will go to day-to-day website support: content updates, fixing small issues and keeping sites running smoothly. Along the way you'll learn hands-on development work alongside our developers. Design and Photoshop skills are a bonus, but a willingness to learn matters most.

Requirements

What you'll do

• Maintain and update client websites built on WordPress, Kentico and Magento
• Handle support tickets: troubleshoot basic website issues and minor bugs, and escalate when needed
• Update website content and help build small feature enhancements
• Edit and optimise images and graphics for the web (Photoshop skills are a bonus)
• Help improve website speed, SEO and usability
• Help with routine checks such as plugin updates, backups, and SSL and domain renewals
• Work with the team to prioritise tasks and resolve issues on time

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree student in IT, Computer Science, Web Development or a related field
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Familiarity with WordPress (Elementor, WooCommerce) is an advantage; any Kentico, Magento or Drupal exposure is a plus
• Basic Photoshop or graphic editing skills are a plus
• Good problem-solving, communication and time-management skills
• Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage

You'll fit in if you are

• Self-motivated and proactive, and willing to take initiative
• Organised and detail-oriented, able to juggle several tasks
• A clear, confident communicator, in writing and in person
• Curious, eager to learn and open to feedback
• Collaborative, positive and solution-oriented

What you'll gain

• Real experience supporting live websites for well-known clients
• Hands-on exposure to several CMS platforms and how a professional support team works with tickets and SLAs
• Mentoring from experienced developers and project managers
• A supportive team where your work makes a visible difference
