Job Overview

Routinely serving over 2000 J.D. students in hundreds of courses, the Program Coordinator for the Experiential Education Office is a key member of Georgetown Law's nationally recognized experiential education team. Under the direction of the Assistant Dean, this position assists the Assistant Dean and the Senior Director in the administration of non-clinical experiential learning courses, including the J.D. Externship Program, simulation courses (including compressed, weekend simulations and January’s Week One) and practicum courses (fieldwork and project-based). The right candidate will play a critical role in supporting all the Office's initiatives, including effective, timely, professional collaboration with students, faculty and staff on all non-clinical experiential learning courses and programming; managing the Office’s frequent communications; maintaining the website and online materials; processing payments and transactions related to the program; and assisting the Assistant Dean in monitoring the budget.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Administrative support for the Experiential Education Office, including managing the day-to-day operations of the office, supporting professors, students and other departments, ordering and delivering classroom supplies;
  • Communications, website management, program promotions, including sending all routine program communications, monitoring the program’s primary inbox, [email protected], managing the LinkedIn page and organizing info sessions;
  • Data Analysis, processing routine financial transactions and reimbursement; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Interactions

The Program Coordinator for the Experiential Education Office reports to the Assistant Dean for Experiential Education and works closely with the Senior Director for Experiential Education to ensure the quality delivery of hundreds of experiential courses. This position also requires the candidate to interact frequently with the Office’s many partner offices, including the Office of Academic Affairs, the Office of the Registrar, the Office of Public Interest and Community Service, the Office of Career Strategy, and the Office of the Dean of Students, Office of Graduate and International Programs, the Law Center’s Centers & Institutes, and Information Systems Technology.

Requirements and Qualifications

The following are required for success in the position:

  • Bachelor's Degree; Two years of experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, including Docs, Sheets and Slides; Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and WordPress. Experience with Canvas, Box, Canva or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to focus on detail.
  • Ability to problem solve, take initiative and quickly adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to identify and manage priorities.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of people and circumstances.
  • Demonstrated emotional maturity and the ability to exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Work Mode Designation

This position has been designated as Hybrid. The Program Coordinator must work in person on campus at least 3 days a week, including Fridays. Pay Range:

The projected salaryor hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$20.16 - $31.30

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
