Technical Lead, Mobile Engineering

Overview

Technical Lead, Mobile Engineering is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for shaping and scaling OneRail's mobile application ecosystem that powers real-time last mile orchestration, driver workflows, and enterprise delivery visibility. This role exists to ensure our mobile solutions are reliable, performant, and resilient in real-world logistics environments where connectivity may fluctuate and operational precision is critical.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the architecture of OneRail's mobile applications built in React Native with native iOS and Android integrations.

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance mobile solutions supporting real-time logistics workflows.

• Partner closely with Product and Design teams to translate business requirements into intuitive, reliable mobile experiences for drivers and operational users.

• Ensure application performance, responsiveness, quality, and stability in production environments.

• Establish and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, observability, security, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Conduct and contribute to regular code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.

• Build and maintain reusable software components, shared libraries, and mobile infrastructure that integrate with backend.

• Analyze, benchmark, and optimize mobile applications for performance, scalability, and efficiency.

• Balance feature development with technical debt reduction and long-term platform sustainability.

• Improve developer experience through tooling enhancements, workflow automation, and release process optimization.

• Mentor and develop mobile engineers, supporting skill growth and career progression.

• Support hiring, onboarding, and retention of top mobile engineering talent.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant hands-on mobile development.

• 2+ years of experience in technical leadership or team lead capacity.

• Strong experience building and scaling React Native applications in production environments.

• Solid understanding of native mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and their integration with cross-platform frameworks.

• Proficiency in React Native, TypeScript

• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and real-time service integrations.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance business priorities and technical excellence.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (Polish B2+ & English B2+)

  Office location: Kraków, Poland

  Work Style: hybrid (2-3 days from the office / week).

  Salary level: 28 000 - 32 000 PLN/ month
