Environmental Technician(I&C) - Day Shift 1

onsemi’s East Fishkill site is seeking a motivated Environmental Technician to support environmental, chemical handling, building systems, instrumentation and facilities operations within a high tech semiconductor manufacturing environment.

You will work as part of the Site Facilities Team to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations that meet regulatory requirements and onsemi’s internal EHS standards. This position is for a compressed work week.

Day Shift 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day wastewater operations across the site, including industrial wastewater, waste management, and environmental monitoring programs.
• Perform routine inspections of chemical distribution systems, environmental equipment, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, compliant operation.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and reporting documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within environmental and facilities systems.
• Support operational activities across shifts as needed within a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, and company policies.
• System troubleshooting skills for monitoring devices and field wiring of replacement equipment

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and mechanical systems.
• Electro-mechanical skills

Preferred:

• Associate’s degree in electrical and mechanical technology
• Experience with instrumentation and controls.
• *Electrical and I&C troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, SPCC, air permits, wastewater systems).
• Experience in environmental, building operations, or chemical systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting

Employees in this role may be required to participate in the site Emergency Response Brigade and support emergency preparedness activities. Participation includes maintaining required training, certifications, and response readiness in accordance with site policies and business needs.

Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 to $36.92 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
