Senior Project Manager – Azure Data Platform

We are hiring two Senior Programme Managers to lead delivery on Azure modern data platform programmes for a pan-African telecom and fintech group. These are senior, hands-on governance roles - not PMO support functions. You will own scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, stakeholders and cross-team coordination from programme inception through to go-live.

What You Will Own

• End-to-end programme delivery on Azure modern data platform initiatives (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Microsoft Fabric)
• Programme governance design and operation - RAID logs, dependency mapping, steering committee reporting, milestone tracking and risk escalation
• Cross-team coordination across multiple concurrent workstreams, resolving dependency conflicts before they become blockers
• Stakeholder management up to C-level and VP-level sponsors, including steering committee facilitation
• Vendor governance - contract oversight, SLA enforcement, performance management and formal escalation where required
• Scope management - formal change control, de-scope decisions with impact analysis, Phase 2 planning
• Programme reporting - executive dashboards, RAG status, milestone forecasting and board-level communication

What We Are Looking For

• Demonstrable senior delivery experience on Azure modern data platform programmes in production environments
• Proven track record leading programme governance - not just running Agile ceremonies
• Experience managing cross-team dependencies across three or more concurrent workstreams
• Hands-on with Jira Advanced Roadmaps or equivalent enterprise programme tooling
• Strong stakeholder management experience at C-suite and VP level
• Telecom, fintech or large enterprise background preferred
• Egypt-based (Cairo preferred)

Preferred Certifications

• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent programme delivery certification
• SAFe, PMI-ACP or relevant Agile at scale certification

(Certifications are preferred - not a hard requirement)

• Client: Pan-African telecom and fintech group (name shared at offer stage)

• Start: As soon as possible
