Responsibilities:

  • Build, own and maintain backend data infrastructure.
  • Design and implement database and storage solutions that fit the needs for both data transaction and reporting.
  • Build a highly scalable and robust backend architecture from the ground up.
  • Test, debug and maintain the application software throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Must-Have Distributed Systems Experience.
  • 2+ years building and scaling distributed systems handling > 5K concurrent requests in production.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices decomposition from monolithic architectures under live traffic.
  • Production experience with service mesh technologies and container orchestration at scale.
  • Deep understanding of database sharding, replication, and distributed transaction management.
  • Hands-on experience with CDN optimisation and edge computing for global/multi-region deployments.
  • Proven ability to optimise systems, achieving less than 100 ms P99 latency for critical user-facing operations.
