Field Operations Manager

Locations: Lagos, Onitsha, Aba, Warri, Rivers, Abuja, Kano, and Kaduna

Job Summary

OPay is seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and integrity-driven Operations Manager - Field Inspection to conduct market inspections and verification activities across assigned locations. The role is responsible for conducting market penetration sampling, inspecting merchant promotional materials for compliance, and verifying the accuracy of top merchant tagging.

The successful candidate will travel frequently across cities and markets, independently assess field activities, document findings with photographic evidence, and submit comprehensive inspection reports. Each assigned market must be inspected and documented within seven days before proceeding to the next location.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market penetration sampling and verification checks across assigned markets.
• Inspect merchant promotional materials to ensure compliance with approved standards and guidelines.
• Verify the accuracy and authenticity of top merchant tagging across assigned markets.
• Conduct independent physical inspections and validate reported field activities.
• Capture photographic evidence, document observations, and prepare accurate inspection reports.
• Complete inspection activities in each assigned market within seven days.
• Identify discrepancies, irregularities, and instances of non-compliance during inspections.
• Escalate inspection findings and identified gaps to the appropriate management team.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, supporting documentation, and evidence for all assignments.
• Ensure objectivity, confidentiality, and independence throughout inspection activities.
• Maintain professional conduct and uphold the company's operational standards during field assignments.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of HND or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
• At least four (4) years of relevant experience in field operations, quality assurance, inspection, audit, or operational monitoring.
• Proven experience conducting field inspections, market assessments, or verification activities.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for data collection, reporting, and photographic documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and irregularities.
• High level of integrity, honesty, accountability, and professional independence.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently across cities and markets.
