AI coding tools learn from examples and tests written by experienced engineers. The teams building them need backend developers who can write realistic coding challenges, build checks that tell a working solution from a broken one, and judge AI-written code the way an experienced reviewer would. This is remote, part-time contractor work applying your backend expertise to AI coding evaluation.
What you'll do
- Write realistic backend coding challenges covering new features and bug fixes across services, APIs and codebases
- Build deterministic verifiers that pass correct solutions and reject incorrect ones
- Review AI-written solutions for correctness and quality, using code review, debugging, testing and refactoring skills
- Bring in performance analysis, algorithms and data structures where a task calls for them

- No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; your judgment helps improve AI models.
