Front Office Assistant

OPUS Hospitality (OPUS Hospitality Sdn Bhd / OPUS BT Management Sdn Bhd / OPUS IL Management) is hiring a Front Office Assistant in the Front Office / Operations department to deliver professional, efficient and guest-focused front office services. The role ensures smooth check-in/check-out, accurate reservations handling, proper billing and cash handling, coordination with other departments, and a positive first and last impression for guests.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and check-in/check-out guests in a courteous, efficient and professional manner.
• Handle guest reservations, walk-ins, room assignments and rate quotations accurately.
• Respond promptly to guest enquiries, requests and complaints, escalating where necessary.
• Maintain accurate guest records, billing and cashiering in line with SOPs.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Bellman and other departments to ensure room readiness and guest service flow.
• Handle telephone calls, messages and correspondence professionally.
• Process payments, deposits and ensure proper cash handling and end-of-shift reconciliation.
• Maintain product knowledge of hotel facilities, promotions and local attractions to assist guests.
• Ensure the front desk and lobby area are kept clean, organised and presentable always.
• Support emergency and security procedures as required.
• Maintain close communication and coordination with the reservations team and ensure booking information are in order.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Prior experience in front office or guest service operations preferred.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages an advantage.
• Proficient in hotel PMS and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Pleasant, well-groomed and service-oriented disposition.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
• Possession of own transport is an added advantage.
