UX/UI Engineer

Orange Moldova is looking for a new colleague to fill in the position of UX/UI Engineer to develop our software products. The role sits between UX/UI Design and Frontend Engineering. You will translate product requirements into customer-centric UX/UI solutions while using your understanding of frontend technologies to make informed design decisions and ensure effective implementation. 

what you will be doing:

• Translate product and functional requirements into clear, intuitive and customer-centric UX/UI solutions.
• Design user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity UI for web and mobile applications.
• Design responsive experiences across devices, screen sizes and platforms.
• Ensure usability, accessibility, visual consistency and adherence to Design System standards.
• Work with Frontend Engineers to ensure accurate and efficient implementation of UX/UI solutions.
• Apply knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript to understand technical feasibility and frontend constraints when designing experiences.
• Contribute to the evolution of Design Systems, UI frameworks and component libraries. Create and maintain reusable UI patterns, components and templates.
• Prepare designs for internal UX/UI review and validation before presenting them to Product stakeholders.
• Present validated solutions to Product stakeholders and support the refinement process.
• Incorporate feedback from UX/UI leads, peers and technical teams and refine solutions accordingly.
• Create / adapt visual assets, illustrations, icons and other multimedia when required.
• Test / validate implemented interfaces across browsers, devices and screen sizes.
• Support enhancements and continuous improvement of existing digital products.
• Explore new UX/UI, frontend and AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve products and the design process.

what we are looking for: 

• 3+ years of professional experience in UX/UI Design, Product Design or a similar
• role.
• Degree in Design, IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX problem solving, interaction design, responsive
• experiences, high-fidelity UI and interactive prototypes.
• Advanced knowledge of Figma(incl. Expert level in components, variants, variables, auto-layout), Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of UX principles, usability, interaction design, accessibility
• and responsive design.
• Strong understanding of visual design, typography, layout, composition, digital imaging and illustration.
• Experience with Design Systems, reusable components and UI patterns.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, consistent and implementation-ready designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
• Fluent Romanian and Russian; English is an advantage
• Front-end Technology: Understanding of HTML5/CSS3/JS, component-based architecture, and the capabilities or limitations of modern frameworks(having FE projects in your portfolio is an advantage).
