You will join our Cloud Engineering team, where Python is the glue between cloud platforms, delivery pipelines and data workloads.

• At a major retailer, Orange Business ensures the seamless operation and evolution of the Data Platform, managing both analytical and operational data flows with a focus on reliability and performance. We handle diverse workloads, including batch and stream processing. By processing everyday terabytes of data that feed dashboards and web APIs, we empower Carrefour to leverage data-driven insights and support their business growth.

• At a big Pharma International Company, Orange Business migrated a Drug Discovery Data Platform hosted on-premises from a Hadoop stack to Azure. During the migration, we improved various data flows to reduce processing time, implemented proactive data quality checks, and optimized the CI/CD pipelines. Our efforts resulted in a more efficient and reliable platform, allowing scientists to quickly and safely assess the potential of tested molecules for new drugs development.

• For a Belgian public-sector data programme, Orange Business created a data platform and a unified set of tools for all public sector to conduct data projects, with a focus on Kubernetes and DevOps processes to enable self-service and standardization. We were able to handle many projects from all administrations, ranging from API management to data processing & analytics, as well as data science modelling

What You’ll Do:

All the responsibilities we’ll trust you with

We are seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with strong Python skills. You will design, implement and manage Cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will build the Python tooling that ties them together, to support our client’s software development lifecycle.

• Designing, deployment, and management of Cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS or GCP).

• Developing Python automation and internal tools (CLI utilities, APIs, serverless functions, pipeline tasks) that make infrastructure self-service and repeatable.

• Building CI/CD pipelines for Python applications: dependency management, automated testing, packaging and container images.

• Monitoring and maintaining the health, performance, and security of our Cloud infrastructure and applications.

• Collaborating with developers and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of software products.

• Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, system configurations, and operating procedures.

• Continuously improving the efficiency and reliability of our infrastructure and development processes, applying software engineering practices (code review, testing, version control) to infrastructure code.

Your technical expertise:

• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, a related technical field.

• Solid professional experience in Python (3+ years): writing maintainable, tested code, managing packages and virtual environments, and testing with pytest.

• Experience automating Cloud platforms from Python, using the Azure, AWS or Google Cloud SDKs for Python, or REST APIs.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Automation of Cloud infrastructure deployment.

• Strong experience with DevOps tools.

• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Automation.

• A proven experience in Terraform.

• Experience with Bash or PowerShell alongside Python.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Git-based workflows (branching, pull requests, code review).

• Good understanding of PAAS, IAAS and SAAS concepts on the Cloud.

• Good experience on Cloud identity and service principals.

• Good knowledge of Unix environment.

It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:

• Cloud certification on Azure, AWS or GCP is a big plus.

• Knowledge of a second development language (JavaScript, C# or Java) is a plus.

• Experience in Kubernetes is a big plus.

• Experience with Python API frameworks (FastAPI, Flask) or serverless runtimes (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
