What you'll do
Own Orbital's editorial POV and content engine - opinionated, narrative-led, category-defining work, not commodity content.
Source material wherever it's strongest - expert input from our lawyers and product team, customer insight, or timely topics in the market - and turn it into compelling, distinctive content across formats (POV pieces, guides and reports, interviews, customer stories).
Own distribution as seriously as production - how each piece reaches the market and lands, across owned channels, social, earned and partners.
Turn content into pipeline: partner with demand generation and product marketing so content drives leads, meetings and influence, not just impressions.
Set and hold a very high bar across formats - long-form POV, thought leadership, customer stories, product narrative.
Measure what works - engagement, reach, and contribution to net-new and influenced pipeline.
Who we're looking for
A track record building a brand's editorial voice and POV - either as a senior B2B content marketer in a category-defining or technical/vertical company (ideally SaaS or AI), or as a journalist or editor with strong commercial instinct, ideally with exposure to legal, proptech, real estate or finance.
Distribution-first: you think about how content travels and converts as much as how it's written, with a demonstrable link between your work and pipeline.
An exceptional storyteller - you draw insight out of experts and timely topics and shape it into narrative that lands.
The ability to get credible in a technical category, fast. You'll be writing for magic-circle lawyers and in-house property teams, so direct real estate and/or legal experience or education is a significant advantage - and if you don't have it, you can show how you've ramped into a complex, expert-led subject before.
A very high bar for quality, especially written content.
Hands-on and high-ownership - you set your own priorities and operate well in a lean, scaling team.
Comfortable co-creating with subject-matter experts and turning their depth into accessible, opinionated work.
Genuine curiosity about our customers and the category we're defining.
Nice to have
Familiarity with SEO and emerging AI/answer-engine optimisation, and how content feeds owned-channel conversion.
Experience defining an editorial voice or POV from an early stage.
