The College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking a Coordinator of Student Engagement and Success. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, natural resources, education, student services or a relatedfield.

  • Two years professional experience working in student services.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills implemented in person, via telephone, email,and in virtual spaces (Zoom, social media, Discussion Boards).

  • Demonstrated competency with MS Office Suite, and Cloud-based applications (i.e., Googledrive, box, etc.).

  • Must demonstrate independence and ability to take initiative in organizing programs,preparing materials, and communicating with key contacts and stakeholders.

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities andeffectively present findings to internal and external audiences.

  • Experience working with college students individually and in group settings.

  • Experience delivering and/or supporting educational programs for audiences from diversebackgrounds and various cultural identities. Comfortable learning and adapting educationalmaterials.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in agriculture, natural resources, education, student services or a related field.

  • Record of grant writing for funding student programs.

  • Experience conducting/designing scientific research projects.

  • Teaching experience at institutions of higher learning.

  • Life experiences, education, or training that broadens capacity to equalize student success orimpact underserved audiences.

  • Experience with event planning.

Working Conditions/Schedule:

Ability to perform some travel and evening/weekend work as required including the ability to travel to student recruiting events held locally and nationally.

Salary Range:

$58,000 - $76,000
