Job Description:
This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Liberal Arts Social Media Producer position for the College of Liberal Arts at Oregon State University (OSU).
The College of Liberal Arts is seeking a creative and engaging student who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and gifted at visual storytelling.
This position will work closely with members of the CLA Marketing and Communications team to produce content for college social media accounts. Key areas of focus will generate social media content to engage prospective and current students on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
* Evaluate opportunities for connecting with prospective students on CLA's social media platforms and develop original content based on those opportunities.
* Collaborate with team members to strategize and schedule social media posts
* Produce social media content for live events, effectively representing the CLA brand to accomplish organizational goals.

Qualifications:

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by theOffice of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Required:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience using TikTok and Instagram
* Strong smartphone photography/videography skills
* Confidence to reach out directly to students/faculty and arrange in- person videos/photos
* Ability to take direction and complete assignments on deadline
Preferred:
* Communications or Journalism major
* Interest in public relations, communications or related fields
