Your job:

• You are responsible for our operational legal topics - from contract work and regulatory requirements to the legal support of internal and external stakeholders.
• You review, negotiate and further develop contracts - for example SaaS agreements, Statements of Work, NDAs, DPAs, IP agreements and supplier agreements.
• You work closely with management, Sales and other internal teams to make sure contracts are not only legally sound, but also practical and effective in a business context.
• You support p36 in legally sensitive customer situations - for example in negotiations, tenders, terminations or disputes.
• You identify risks early, assess them and bring pragmatic solutions before topics become unnecessarily large.
• You stay on top of regulatory requirements and implement them in a practical way - especially around GDPR, the EU Data Act, the EU AI Act and Life Sciences-specific requirements.
• You bring structure to recurring topics, continue developing templates, checklists and processes, and keep track of deadlines, renewals and termination options.
• You manage collaboration with external legal partners on specialized topics efficiently, with a clear eye on quality, speed and cost.
• You use AI tools where they help you research faster, document more clearly and build more scalable processes.

Your work environment:

• You will take on the first dedicated legal role at p36 and help build this area internally.
• You will work directly with our CEO and stay close to the topics that really matter to our business.
• We are growing - and with that, the demands on contracts, regulatory topics and clean, scalable processes are growing as well.
• This role is for someone who likes to work independently, drive things forward and create clarity even when not everything is fully built yet.
• We are not looking for someone who only points out risks, but for someone who thinks ahead, takes ownership and helps make good solutions possible.

Your profile:

• You have a degree in law or business law, ideally with a focus on IT law, contract law or data protection.
• You bring several years of professional experience - ideally in a tech/SaaS company or in a law firm focused on IT law and data protection.
• You have a strong understanding of German and international contract law and feel confident navigating EU regulations relevant to SaaS and data - especially GDPR, the EU Data Act and the EU AI Act.
• SaaS contract structures such as licensing models, SLAs or liability clauses are familiar to you.
• You work in a structured way, set priorities well and keep a clear overview even when several topics are on the table at the same time.
• You communicate clearly and effectively - also with people who do not come from a legal background.
• You feel confident working in both German and English - in contracts, internal alignment and conversations with customers or partners.
• You come across as confident and approachable in customer conversations, even when situations become more sensitive or contentious.
• You think pragmatically, work independently and see legal as an enabler for the business - not a blocker.
• You are open to integrating AI tools into your day-to-day work where they make your work more efficient and scalable.
