Pace Academy is an independent school serving grades Pre-First through 12 in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood. We develop prepared, confident global citizens through academic excellence, innovative leadership programs, and a vibrant community.

Lower School Associate Teacher

Pace Academy is an independent college preparatory school in Atlanta, Ga., with an enrollment of 1,150 students in Pre-First through 12th grade. The school provides a learning environment that cultivates global citizenship, a spirit of service, respect for differences and strong character in its students. Our commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture is reflected in a community in which differences are embraced, and students, parents/caregivers, faculty and staff have a sense of belonging.

The Lower School division enrolls 360 students from Pre-First through fifth grade, with three homerooms of approximately 20 students at each grade level.

The Associate Teacher works with and is supervised by a Homeroom Teacher to provide a positive learning environment for each student. Teachers at this level are invested in students’ academic, emotional and character development. At Pace, we hire enthusiastic and energetic professionals who are dedicated to teaching and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children.

The Lower School is characterized by joy in learning and in discovery amongst students and teachers. Associate Teachers assist the Homeroom Teacher in creating a dynamic learning environment for every student. They are eager to grow as educators and learn from the Homeroom Teacher, the leadership team and faculty.

The ideal candidate has been successful in a collaborative setting, exhibits good judgment and possesses excellent communication skills. Enthusiasm for teaching, especially young students, is a critical quality. They should possess a wealth of patience, humor, energy and creativity and work well within a team of teachers.
