  • Perform and oversee preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production and label-line equipment, including label machines, casers, and conveyors.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues by observing, testing, and measuring equipment; identify root cause and implement effective, timely repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC- and VFD-controlled equipment, motor controls, and other industrial electrical systems.
  • Read and work from blueprints, schematics, and operating instructions; create and review machine drawings.
  • Cut, form, and fabricate parts; assemble and repair machinery and equipment; locate, align, anchor, test, and time machinery.
  • Weld, including heliarc and stainless steel.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, inventories, and equipment performance reports.
  • Order necessary parts, materials, tools, and supplies using established processes.
  • Communicate and coordinate with management and maintenance staff to align repair efforts with production goals.
  • Operate machines occasionally as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform facilities maintenance as needed, such as rollup door repairs.

Requirements:

  • Available to work first or second shift and weekends as needed; reliable with excellent attendance.
  • 5+ years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong electrical background with expert-level troubleshooting of PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Expert industrial mechanical skills, including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, plumbing, and fabrication.
  • Working knowledge of vacuum systems, motion control systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Committed to safety and food safety, including proper use of PPE.
  • Must possess and use personal hand tools; certified to operate a forklift/industrial lift truck.
  • Ability to create and review machine drawings and schematics.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Previous experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), such as Fiix, preferred.
