Senior Electrical Test Engineer

The Opportunity!
Do you enjoy working across the full product development process rather than focusing on just one piece of it? Are you an engineer with a strong electrical engineering foundation, experience with embedded systems and firmware, and the ability to bring multiple technical workstreams together to deliver successful products?
At Grace Technologies, you'll take ownership of product testing and validation activities across electrical hardware, firmware, and software. This hands-on engineering role offers significant responsibility for developing test strategies, coordinating technical projects, solving complex problems, and helping ensure our products meet performance, quality, and reliability expectations.
You'll work within a collaborative engineering team where technical expertise, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to take projects from concept through completion are valued.
What You'll Do
- Own the testing process: Develop, implement, and maintain test strategies, plans, procedures, and validation requirements for new and existing products.
- Coordinate engineering activities: Work across electrical hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to support project execution, resolve technical challenges, and meet development objectives.
- Stay hands-on: Perform electrical, firmware, and software testing; troubleshoot technical issues; and identify opportunities to improve product performance and reliability.
- Improve test capabilities: Develop and implement automated testing solutions, test fixtures, and processes that improve efficiency, repeatability, and consistency.
- Support product development: Participate in design reviews, product improvements, and engineering initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate external testing: Support regulatory, compliance, and certification activities with third-party testing organizations.
- Document your work: Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, test procedures, results, and reports to support engineering decisions and product readiness.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- At least five years of relevant engineering experience involving embedded electronic products, including hardware, firmware, or software testing.
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and practical knowledge of embedded systems and firmware.
- Hands-on programming or software development experience, including the ability to understand code and support test automation.
- Experience coordinating technical projects involving multiple engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of technical assignments through completion.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, comprehensive technical documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with engineering, manufacturing, and external technical partners.
Experience That Will Set You Apart
- Experience working in a smaller organization or lean engineering environment with broad technical responsibilities.
- Experience developing, implementing, or managing product testing and validation programs.
- Experience with Python, automated testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or embedded software development.
- Familiarity with industrial electronics, connected devices, or electrical safety products.
- Experience coordinating third-party testing, product certifications, or regulatory compliance activities.
Why This Role Matters
At Grace Technologies, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how our products are developed, tested, and brought to market.
Rather than working within a narrowly defined engineering function, you'll contribute across multiple technical disciplines, take ownership of important engineering initiatives, and help develop the testing processes and capabilities that support our continued growth.
We're looking for an engineer who combines technical depth with initiative, organization, and the ability to bring the pieces together.
