Paradromics develops a high bandwidth brain-computer interface intended to restore communication for people with severe paralysis. Founded in 2015 and based in Austin, its Connexus implant records from many neurons at once and decodes intended speech. The company has begun human trials after years of preclinical work.

Manufacturing Coordinator

About Paradromics

Brain-related illness is one of the last great frontiers in medicine, not because the brain is unknowable, but because it has been inaccessible. Paradromics is building a brain-computer interface (BCI) platform that records brain activity at the highest possible resolution: the individual neuron. AI algorithms then decode this massive amount of brain-data, enabling the seamless translation of thought into treatments.

Our first clinical application, the Connexus® BCI, will help people who are unable to speak, due to ALS, spinal cord injuries and stroke, to communicate independently through digital devices. However, the capabilities of our BCI platform go far beyond our first application. With the brain in direct communication with digital devices, we can leverage technology to transform how we treat conditions ranging from sensory and motor deficits to untreatable mental illness.

The Role

Paradromics is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Coordinator to keep daily manufacturing operations organized and running smoothly. In this role, you will coordinate manufacturing schedules based on build plans and development needs, resolve day-to-day production support issues, and work cross-functionally to ensure teams have the inventory, equipment, and information needed to execute their work.

You will also partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams to coordinate the rollout of process changes, including training, documentation, and implementation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, can manage competing priorities, and communicates clearly to keep work moving forward.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and update daily manufacturing schedules in alignment with production build plans and development priorities.
  • Coordinate day-to-day manufacturing activities and respond quickly to issues that could interrupt production.
  • Troubleshoot routine manufacturing support issues, including locating inventory, resolving manufacturing execution system workflow issues, and escalating problems when needed.
  • Monitor equipment availability and manufacturing supplies, documenting and escalating equipment downtime, missing consumables, and other operational blockers to the appropriate owners.
  • Serve as the primary Manufacturing point of contact for change-control implementation, coordinating with Quality and other stakeholders on process updates, training requirements, and rollout plans.
  • Help ensure manufacturing activities follow approved procedures, revision controls, and applicable quality-system requirements.
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing records and tracking information, including work travelers, serial numbers, inventory status, and production progress.
  • Coordinate across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and other teams to communicate priorities, address blockers, and ensure changes are implemented consistently.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in management, project coordination, or project management support.
  • Experience using a manufacturing execution system (MES), production traveler, serial-tracking system, or similar manufacturing tracking tool.
  • Understanding of manufacturing workflows, including process steps, subassemblies, serialized versus lot-tracked components, and the importance of following approved procedures.
  • Ability to manage frequent interruptions and shifting priorities while maintaining focus on critical production needs.
  • Clear, direct, and timely communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when tracking schedules, inventory, equipment issues, and process changes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a quality management system (QMS), including engineering change orders (ECOs), revision control, training records, nonconformance reports (NCMRs), or equivalent processes.
  • Experience coordinating manufacturing change-control rollouts, including documentation updates, training, and implementation tracking.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing in a regulated, medical device, hardware, or other quality-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, production planning, equipment maintenance coordination, or manufacturing supply tracking.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or product development environment where manufacturing processes are evolving.
