Python Backend Developer

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Python Backend Developer with 4-6 years of experience in building scalable, high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, API design, microservices architecture, database management, and cloud-native technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop reliable and secure backend solutions that power modern web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend systems and services using Python.
• Build robust RESTful APIs and microservices for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Optimise applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and data sources.
• Implement security and data protection best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Work with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python (3 x).
• Hands-on experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDB/Redis.
• Familiarity with ORM tools such as Django ORM or SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of Git, RabbitMQ/Kafka/Celery, Docker, Nginx, and Gunicorn.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and GraphQL.
• Experience with event-driven architecture.
• Understanding of OAuth2 JWT, encryption, and caching mechanisms.
• Exposure to frontend technologies such as React or Angular.
