Pattern is an e-commerce accelerator that helps consumer brands sell on Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop and other online marketplaces worldwide. Founded in 2013, it buys and resells brand inventory or manages marketplace channels on brands' behalf, combining marketplace advertising, content, pricing, fulfillment and brand protection with its own data and software. The company is headquartered in Lehi, Utah, United States.

As a Product Manager focusing on Transportation at Pattern, you will play a critical role in enhancing, optimizing, and automating logistics workflows into scalable software solutions. You will lead a dedicated engineering team through two-week sprints to build directed warehouse tools, manage yard operations, and optimize global inventory distribution. This role sits at the intersection of complex supply chain challenges and rapid technology expansion, driving massive cost savings and high-impact operational efficiency across our expanding global footprint.

What is a day in the life of a Product Manager - Transportation?

    • Connect daily with the offshore engineering team (8:00 AM-9:00 AM MT) to facilitate standups and align on technical execution.

    • Conduct sprint planning, define user stories/tasks, assign sprint points, and run retrospectives every two weeks.

    • Partner closely with UX designers to design and refine directed internal tools for warehouse associates.

    • Engage with internal stakeholders to identify logistics pain points, gather product requirements, and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

    • Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for optimizing freight execution, carrier ordering, and yard management processes.

    • Deep dive independently into complex supply chain and transportation problem sets to define scalable solution architectures.

What will I need to thrive in this role?

    • 2+ years of product management experience, preferably within logistics, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain environments.

    • Proven experience leading software engineering teams through full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and two-week sprint cycles.

    • Background working with major retailers, e-commerce giants (e.g., Amazon, Walmart), global logistics providers, or freight/trucking companies.

    • Strong ability to work independently with minimal oversight, taking full ownership of problem spaces.

    • Proficiency with analytical and product tools such as Snowflake, Excel, AI development assistants (e.g., Claude, Cursor), and the Google Workspace suite.

    • Exceptional cross-functional communication skills to build trust and align distributed engineering, design, and executive stakeholders.

What does high performance look like?

    • Successfully transition legacy spreadsheets and email workflows into automated, in-house software products.

    • Execute two-week sprint deliverables on time while maintaining team alignment and sprint velocity.

    • Build strong trust, cohesion, and a unified direction across cross-functional US and overseas engineering/design teams.

    • Proactively solve complex operational problems and drive measurable financial impact through reduced shipping and chargeback costs.

What is my potential for career growth?

    • Opportunity to lead greenfield product initiatives within a fast-growing tech business expanding 30-40% annually.

    • Direct exposure to enterprise-level supply chain scaling, double-digit facility network expansion, and global logistics automation.

    • Path to take complete ownership over multi-year product roadmaps across complex fulfillment and transportation verticals.

    • Professional network development through collaboration with senior leadership and global operations experts.

What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?

    • 30 Days: Build relationships across engineering and operational teams, gain a complete understanding of internal systems, and master the existing multi-year transportation product roadmap.

    • 60 Days: Take active ownership of two-week sprint planning cycles, partner with UX to refine warehouse tool designs, and begin delivering early-phase project features.

    • 90 Days: Independently lead the execution of primary transportation initiatives, deliver high-impact feature releases, and drive measurable efficiency in logistics workflows.

What is the team like?

This role reports directly to the Director of Product Management. You will be joining a team of growing technology and logistics professionals. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Lead Developers, Software Engineers, and UX Designers, as well as other departments including Warehouse Operations, Supply Chain, and Logistics. This position is mentored by the VP of Product / Director of Product Management.
