Relationship Manager - Field Sales (PIBL)

Role Summary:

The Relationship Manager is responsible for the direct sale of health insurance to customers within an assigned market territory in Delhi NCR. The role sources business across three parallel channels - the Paytm Merchant base, open-market prospecting, and customer referrals - and owns the end-to-end customer journey, from the first conversation through to policy issuance.

This is a field-based role carrying an individual sales target. The incumbent is expected to actively cover the assigned territory, cultivate merchant relationships, conduct structured needs-based conversations, address customer objections, close cases, and support the customer through documentation, medical examinations, and final issuance.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage Paytm Merchants within the assigned territory to introduce health insurance offerings and develop relationships through consistent, repeated interactions.

Independently prospect in the open market across individuals, families, salaried professionals, and small business owners to generate new business.

Systematically generate referrals from issued customers, engaged merchants, and personal networks, ensuring a referral request accompanies every policy delivery.

Conduct a thorough needs analysis for each prospect and recommend the most appropriate product from the approved insurer panel.

Manage customer objections effectively, close cases, and ensure complete and accurate documentation is collected at the point of sale.

Minimise free-look cancellations by ensuring customers purchase products that genuinely meet their needs and that they fully understand.

Pre Requisites:

Minimum of one year of experience in Health Insurance or General Insurance.

Prior experience in Direct Sales is mandatory.

Graduate degree in any discipline (minimum qualification).

Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Local candidate with an established presence in, and understanding of, the Delhi NCR market and community.

Demonstrated comfort with field sales, customer acquisition, lead generation, and regular market visits. Ownership of a two-wheeler and willingness to undertake daily field travel.
