Location: Hybrid on-site - Montrouge, Île-de-France

Start: 2-4 weeks

Reports To: Head of Strategic Platforms Security

CONTEXT & ROLE

Client is running a structured Product Security Program across its five Strategic Platforms. The program covers threat modelling, secure coding, security assurance, supply-chain integrity, security monitoring, and incident management.

Within this broader transformation, the Fraud Management Program has already been launched across Strategic Platforms. Client is now looking for a Fraud Management Consultant to support its deployment and operationalization across the platforms.

The objective of the mission is to establish the governance model, deploy a fraud detection platform, define fraud detection logic per product line, and operationalize a business-led fraud management framework.

The consultant will report to the Head of Strategic Platforms Security and operate within the Strategic Platforms Product Security team, in close collaboration with platform security leads, product and business teams, and the Group Information Security function. The consultant will act as a technical enabler, helping business and product teams take ownership of fraud management while ensuring the right technical foundation and governance are in place.

SCOPE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Fraud Detection Platform Deployment

The consultant will lead the deployment of a dedicated fraud detection platform across the Strategic Platforms. The mission includes:

  • Integrating the platform with the SIEM.
  • Defining the case management workflow for fraud signal review and follow-up.
  • Coordinating onboarding with platform security leads and engineering teams.
  • Ensuring operational readiness and effective handover to business and platform owners.

Business Process Analysis and Detection Logic

The consultant will work with product and business teams to document business processes per product line and define the behaviours that represent genuine and suspicious activity. The mission includes:

  • Mapping key transaction flows and business rules.
  • Defining initial fraud detection scenarios and detection logic.
  • Building a knowledge base to support investigation and tuning.
  • Prioritizing the first detection use cases on the most material platforms by transaction volume.

Fraud Governance Framework

The consultant will help define the Fraud Governance Framework, with a business-led model at its core. The mission includes:

  • Establishing the operating model of the Strategic Platform Fraud team.
  • Contributing to risk appetite principles by product line.
  • Designing the fraud KPI/KRI dashboard.
  • Ensuring fraud performance metrics are visible to product teams alongside business indicators.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work in close collaboration with platform security leads, product teams, and business stakeholders to drive technical implementation across all platforms.
  • Feed progress updates and risk flags into the program governance cadence led by the Program Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS & PROFILE

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fraud management, financial crime prevention, or security monitoring within a payments, fintech, or financial services environment.
  • Proven experience deploying and operationalizing fraud detection platforms, including rules design, alert tuning, and case management workflow setup.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing business processes to define detection logic and fraud scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of fraud governance frameworks, including committee design, risk appetite definition, and business-led operating models.
  • Experience designing fraud KPI/KRI dashboards and translating fraud performance metrics for business and product audiences.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate fraud prevention initiatives across product, engineering, and business teams through technical credibility, communication, and delivery discipline.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Elastic Security, or equivalent) and fraud signal correlation patterns.
  • Knowledge of machine learning-based fraud risk engine solutions and their operational requirements.
  • Exposure to cross-product fraud analytics and signal correlation across multiple platforms.
  • Relevant certifications in fraud management or financial crime prevention (e.g. CFE or equivalent).

Soft Skills

  • Business-oriented and operationally focused.
  • Autonomous and delivery focused.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a multi-team, multi-platform environment.
  • Pragmatic, structured, and able to unblock implementation issues independently.

LANGUAGES

  • Mandatory: English (all documentation and deliverables are in English).
  • Nice to have: French.
