Senior Account Executive - The Hague, Netherlands (Dutch speaking preferred)

Our client is a leading European governance, risk and compliance (GRC) SaaS provider, serving banks, insurers, asset managers, pension funds, healthcare organisations and the major audit and advisory firms across 20+ countries. With over ten years in the market, 100+ clients and a recent acquisition in the regulatory monitoring space, they give regulated organisations one single source of truth for risk, compliance and audit - with European frameworks such as DORA, NIS2, GDPR and the EU AI Act built in. They are currently seeking a Senior Account Executive based in The Hague to own complex enterprise sales cycles end to end.

Responsibilities as a Senior Account Executive

As a Senior Account Executive, you will carry your own number and your own pipeline in a scale-up environment working to quarterly targets. Your day-to-day tasks will contain:

• Running full enterprise sales cycles from first outreach to signature, with an average deal cycle of nine months and twelve months or more on larger deals.
• Mapping and managing multiple stakeholders within regulated enterprises, up to and including C-level.
• Building the business case alongside the buyer, not simply presenting a commercial proposal.
• Owning requests for proposal (RFPs) end to end - writing, coordinating and submitting - with limited internal support.
• Developing new business within financial services and other regulated industries.
• Managing your own forecast and pipeline hygiene against quarterly targets.
• Working closely with product and marketing teams to bring market feedback back into the business.

Qualifications/Required Skills for an ideal Senior Account Executive

An ideal candidate for the Senior Account Executive role will need to meet most of these requirements:

• Around 5 years or more in complex B2B SaaS sales, selling into enterprise accounts with long, consultative cycles.
• A proven track record over tenure - steady stints of two to three years with targets consistently hit matters more than total years of experience.
• Demonstrable experience engaging C-level stakeholders and building business cases.
• The ability to run an RFP process independently from start to finish.
• A self-starting, independent operator who thrives in a fast-paced scale-up with a young team - this is an individual contributor role, not a management track.
• Dutch language skills preferred, though exceptional candidates without Dutch will be considered.
• Based in or able to commute to The Hague. Candidates in the Antwerp province are welcome - ideally on site in The Hague once a week, and at minimum once a fortnight, with a Belgian office opening next year.
• Nice to have: an existing network in financial services or the GRC space, or experience selling into the Nordic markets.
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands or Belgium without sponsorship.
