Business Development Executive - Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)
Our client is a fast-growing European fintech platform helping companies optimise their cash flow through smart, data-driven financing solutions, without taking on additional debt, and is currently seeking a Business Development Executive to join their sales team in Brussels.
The company connects businesses seeking faster liquidity with investors looking for short-term, high-performance investment opportunities, and has financed billions of euros in invoices with continuous growth across Europe. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial instincts, analytical thinking, and a passion for turning leads into long-term relationships.
Responsibilities as a Business Development Executive:
As a Business Development Executive, you will work closely with the sales and operations teams. Your day-to-day tasks will contain:
- Owning the full sales cycle - prospecting both inbound and outbound leads, pitching, negotiating and closing.
- Assessing leads' needs and explaining how the platform works and the benefits of invoice factoring.
- Requesting KYC and credit risk analysis from the Operations department.
- Negotiating and adjusting contractual terms to suit potential clients' needs.
- Acting as the main point of contact, building long-term relationships and providing ongoing support through the onboarding process.
Qualifications/Required Skills for an ideal Business Development Executive:
An ideal candidate for the Business Development Executive role will need to meet most of these requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, or an equivalent field.
- 0-1 years of experience; a first experience in the financial industry or a sales environment is a plus but not a must.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (French is an asset).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in English and Dutch (French is a plus).
- A commercial mindset with a high level of energy and ambition in a performance-driven sales environment.
- Accuracy and precision in handling financial documentation and monitoring accounts.
- Resilient, autonomous and results-driven, with the flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced fintech environment.
