What Makes You a Great Fit

We are looking for an Expense Specialist Contractor to join our Global Expense team. This is a tactical, execution-focused position responsible for managing high-volume expense auditing, processing, and data entry across 30+ countries. You will ensure employee expense reports comply with global policies and applicable local tax requirements, including VAT/GST. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently while managing high-volume workloads.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple currencies and international expense processes and can provide clear, professional guidance to employees when corrections are needed.

This will be a 6- month contract to cover a team member on leave.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Perform end-to-end audits of employee expense reports across 30+ countries, ensuring compliance with global expense policies and local tax requirements, including VAT/GST.

• Accurately process, approve, or reject expense claims within Expensify.

• Provide clear and professional guidance to employees when expense corrections or additional information are required.

• Ensure expenses are accurately coded to the General Ledger and posted correctly within NetSuite.

• Maintain precise records of expense approvals and rejections to support audit readiness and operational visibility.

• Manage high-volume expense activity while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and policy compliance.

• Meet strict deadlines and maintain responsiveness during key EMEA business hours, typically 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM IST.

Let’s Connect If You:

• Have 3+ years of experience in global expense management, payroll, accounting, or a related financial operations function.

• Have professional-level experience with Expensify, NetSuite, and Excel.

• Have experience working with multiple currencies and understand international expense processes and requirements.

• Have excellent written communication skills and can explain policy requirements clearly, professionally, and with patience.

• Are highly detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy while managing high-volume financial transactions.

• Can work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and consistently meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Have demonstrated reliability and responsiveness in a fast-paced, global work environment.

• Are comfortable supporting the team during EMEA business hours, typically 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM IST.
