Materials Manager

Job Description:

• Drive material readiness in a balanced and sustainable manner to support production continuity while optimizing inventory levels and working capital.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with suppliers, production, engineering, quality, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery (OTD) to customers and alignment with business objectives.
• Proactively communicate material status, supply risks, and mitigation actions; influence decision-making and drive timely resolution of constraints impacting production or delivery.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance scalability, efficiency, and responsiveness across sourcing, planning, and logistics functions; represent the materials organization in internal program reviews and cross-functional meetings.
• Manage purchase order lifecycle, including order placement, confirmation, and follow-up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery; coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies related to receiving, invoicing, and accounts payable.
• Oversee warehouse management operations, including:
  • Inventory accuracy and control (cycle counting, stock reconciliation)
  • Storage optimization and space utilization
  • FIFO/LIFO compliance and material traceability
  • Obsolete and slow-moving inventory management
• Ensure alignment of warehouse operations with production and shipping requirements
• Improving inventory turnover and reducing lead times
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to logistics, customs, safety, and environmental standards.
