Chief Operating Officer (COO)

On behalf of our client, a leading luxury retail company based in Limassol, we are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee day-to-day operations, drive business performance and support the company’s strategic growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong retail operations experience, proven leadership skills and a solid track record in improving operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the company’s day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient, seamless and consistent execution across all business functions and retail operations.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth, profitability and long-term objectives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), operational performance and financial results, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee retail operations and ensure high standards of customer experience, service, store presentation and operational excellence.
• Lead and support operational teams, fostering accountability, collaboration and a high-performance culture.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor costs and resources, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximise profitability and return on investment.
• Work closely with the Directors to translate business strategy into effective operational plans and measurable results.
• Oversee key relationships with suppliers, service providers and other strategic partners.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and applicable requirements.
• Lead and support strategic projects including new store openings, renovations, relocations and business expansion initiatives.
• Provide regular reports, analysis and recommendations to Directors regarding operational performance, business risks, opportunities and strategic initiatives.
• Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, excellence and continuous improvement, aligned with the standards and values of a luxury retail environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 8-10+ years of proven experience in retail operations, with at least 3-5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
• Previous experience as a COO, Operations Director, General Manager, or in a similar senior operational position.
• Experience in luxury or premium retail is highly desirable.
• Strong experience with budgets, KPIs, profitability and cost management.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and operational functions.
• Strong strategic thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Greek.
