Systems Engineer (DevOps)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (DevOps) with a solid background in enterprise infrastructure, data center operations, network administration, and modern DevOps practices. In this role, you will bridge physical and virtual systems engineering with automated deployment engineering—taking ownership of data center health monitoring, enterprise network configurations, virtual machine (VM) lifecycle management across VMware and FusionCompute, and automated CI/CD and container workflows across Docker and Kubernetes clusters.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Center Monitoring & Operations: Proactively monitor data center infrastructure, physical/blade server health, environmental metrics, power distribution, and enterprise storage arrays to ensure continuous 24/7 uptime.

• Network Administration & Configuration: Configure and maintain enterprise network switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, subnetting, VPN tunnels, and virtual networking (vSwitch, distributed switches, SDN).

• Virtualization & Systems Engineering: Provision, configure, and maintain virtual machines across VMware vSphere/ESXi and Huawei FusionCompute platforms, managing virtual networks, datastores, and resource pools.

• DevOps & Pipeline Automation: Build, maintain, and optimize automated build, test, and deployment CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or related tooling.

• Container Orchestration: Deploy, configure, and maintain containerized workloads using Docker and manage services running on Kubernetes clusters.

• Automation & Scripting: Write and maintain automation scripts in Bash and Python to streamline network audits, server provisioning, configuration management, and administrative routines.

• Telemetry & Observability: Deploy and administer centralized observability platforms using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for network traffic analysis, server metrics, and application logging.

• Security & System Hardening: Implement network access controls, firewall policies, OS security patches, and perform root-cause analysis on critical infrastructure or network outages.

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering

• Professional network/systems certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, VCP - VMware Certified Professional, HCIA/HCIP-Cloud Computing or Datacom).

• DevOps and containerization credentials (e.g., CKA/CKAD, Docker Certified Associate, AWS/Azure DevOps Certified).

• Practical exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or configuration management via Ansible.

• Experience configuring web servers, proxies, and load balancers (NGINX, HAProxy).

• At least 3 years

• Age 27 to 45 years

Data Center & Network Operations:

• Direct experience in Data Center monitoring (hardware diagnostics, environmental sensors, power/cooling oversight, and rack-level operations).

• Hands-on proficiency in Network Configuration (switches, routers, firewalls, VLAN tagging, static/dynamic routing, DNS/DHCP, and network troubleshooting).

• Virtualization Platforms:Practical experience deploying and administering VMs on VMware (vSphere/ESXi).Direct working experience or strong practical familiarity with Huawei FusionCompute.

• Operating Systems: Solid systems administration expertise in enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian), covering kernel tuning, security hardening, and storage management.

• CI/CD & DevOps Automation: Practical experience setting up, maintaining, and automating continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).

• Containers & Orchestration: Practical hands-on proficiency with Docker container workflows and Kubernetes cluster management.

• Scripting Languages: Strong automation skills in Bash and Python.

• Monitoring & Observability: Hands-on operational experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
