Job Description:
Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Reserves Analyst in Midland, Texas. The Reserves Analyst will support the corporate Reserves team with database maintenance, data requests, and process administration and automation. This is an entry-level role for a candidate with a finance, accounting, or engineering background and an interest in developing oil and gas, corporate reserves and Aries expertise while working closely with the Reserves team and other teams within PR, including Asset Development, Operations, Land, Business Development and Accounting.
General Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the Aries database, including data entry, updates, and basic reconciliation under the guidance of Reserves team
- Support the build-out and upkeep of queries and reports related to well data, ownership interests, and development schedules using Excel, Access, SQL, and Databricks.
- Pull and organize production, technical, and ownership data from internal databases and public sources for use in reserves analyses.
- Assist with quarterly SOX documentation, gathering support and organizing files for process walkthroughs with third party auditors.
- Coordinate with Land, Accounting, Operations, Business Development and Asset Development teams to track well activity, ownership changes, and related administrative items formerly handled by the Reserves administrative function.
- Help fulfill data requests from other departments and maintain organized recordkeeping.
- Perform other administrative and analytical duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with databases and query tools such as Excel, Access, or SQL
- Ability to use AI to develop, refine and automate processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple data requests and deadlines
- Good verbal and written communication skills; comfortable working across departments
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn Aries and reserves-specific processes on the job
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oil and gas or corporate finance/engineering exposure
- Exposure to Aries, Databricks and/or ComboCurve preferred
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field preferred
