Senior Backend Engineer

About Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale distributed systems that power mission-critical integrations and data-intensive services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in TypeScript (Node.js) and Python, along with hands-on experience developing large-scale backend platforms, SaaS integrations, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native applications.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend services using TypeScript (Node.js) and Python.
• Build and optimize distributed systems capable of processing large volumes of data with high performance and reliability.
• Develop enterprise-grade integrations with SaaS platforms such as Microsoft Graph, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Slack, and similar ecosystems.
• Implement and maintain OAuth authentication flows, token management, webhook processing, and change notification mechanisms.
• Design and develop incremental synchronization frameworks to ensure efficient and reliable data movement.
• Build fault-tolerant systems capable of handling rate limits, retries, throttling, concurrency control, and recovery scenarios.
• Develop event-driven architectures using message queues, asynchronous processing patterns, and distributed communication mechanisms.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications running on Kubernetes environments.
• Design, build, and optimize data models for transactional and analytical workloads.
• Improve database performance, scalability, and system efficiency through continuous optimization.
• Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, security, and platform engineering teams.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Drive platform reliability, observability, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
• Ensure security, scalability, maintainability, and performance best practices are followed throughout the software development lifecycle.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 7-12 years of experience in backend engineering, distributed systems, or large-scale platform development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in TypeScript and Node.js development.
• Strong programming experience with Python for backend services and automation.
• Proven experience building production-grade backend applications and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of API design, development, and integration patterns.
• Experience integrating enterprise SaaS applications and third-party platforms.
• Deep understanding of OAuth, OpenID Connect, authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
• Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures and asynchronous systems.
• Strong understanding of messaging systems, queues, and distributed communication patterns.
• Experience working with cloud-native applications and containerized environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing workloads on Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of database design, optimization, scalability, and data modeling.
• Experience troubleshooting throttling, synchronization, rate limiting, and data consistency challenges.
• Ability to analyze provider API behavior and resolve complex integration issues.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience working in Agile and fast-paced product engineering environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership initiatives.
