The vaccination technician will be responsible for working in the field collecting and processing blood, culture and tissue samples.Position will assist in vaccinating and weighing of flocks.Job will require driving a company vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and process blood, culture and tissue samples
- Complete necessary paperwork to submit samplestolaboratory
- Assist in vaccinating and weighing of flocks
- Highly motivated
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must have excellent driving record and current valid driverslicense
- Able to work in a hot, high humidity, dusty environment
- May be required to work abnormal hours
- Must be able to complete paperwork for laboratory submission of samples
- Must have positive attitude and be able to work well
- Typically requires greater than 1up to 2 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience.
- Solves problems by gathering, compiling, and sorting information
- Other duties as assigned.
What You’llNeed:
·Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in PoultryScience or similar fieldpreferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement;
·Certifications: Current driver's license and good driving record;
·Experience:2-5 years of directly related experience preferred;
·Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, both written and verbal. Quick learner of Company protocols/programs and adaptable to change. Solid math and analytical abilities for problem-solvingand decision-making. Reliable and ethical, with a strong work ethic and punctuality. Team-oriented and self-motivated, able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
